I fully support free market and if someone will buy at those outrageous prices - well that is between the seller and buyer.

However I have been appalled to see things on this site being listed at prices 4X plus normal rates.  I like to think of this site as a local community of sorts and when someone is seemingly looking to take advantage of something at the expense of the community, I am disappointed.  I know I am making a list of folks I will never support or associate with!

Again - free market, as it should be - but that goes both ways and I won't support opportunists.

I love how well you stated this.

I also have a nice list and a naughty list.....

100% Agreed. I had a guy wanted $95 for 300 large rifle primers. Absolutely insane. I told him that he was part of the problem. That being said, it is his right to capitalize on them. I choose not to. I sold a guy 250 rounds of 9mm ammo for .30/rd because he wanted it and I had it, but no way was I going to gouge him 2-3x that. Being good to people goes around, so does the opposite.

Depends on whether you want to be a gouger or sucker.  :chuckle:

Replying to bornhunter,  I paid $740 for 1000 rounds of 556 fmj a couple of weeks ago.  But I got free shipping lol.  I definitely didn't wanna pay that but feared prices were,  are still going up.  Depends on if you wanna sell it for fair market value, gouge the hell out of it or sell it for close to what you paid for originally.

Some advice for the newbie “gougers” out there; take a little extra time to remove the sticker prices before you post pictures  :chuckle:

I actually get irritated when I see the price gougers here... This community is pretty small and I feel like they are just screwing over their friends. I’m ok with them wanting to make money, just do it elsewhere haha.

But who really is “stupider” the gouger or the one willing to be gouged?

I have paid high prices for ammo in the past. I justified it by wanting to get in some serious range time. I honestly did not think prices would normalize again after 2016.

Now I feel the same, I do not think the ammo market would have recovered for at least two more years, even if Trump had won.
Now with Biden at the helm, I do not see any for of recovery until 2014 at the earliest.
I believe we are in for a rough few years.
If Biden does half of what he has said he would, the firearms industry will be in chaos again worse the the Obama years.

So to replenish any stash that gets shot, is going to be at a ridicules premium.

If someone has some thing for sale and someone is agreeable to the price... well that's the buyers and seller's business and none of mine..... I may have even sold a few boxes of primers over the last couple of weeks on another board..   :chuckle:

BUT, with that said, I have to much respect for this site/community to do that here... just my  :twocents:

It's way more fun to leave them on.  I recently sold some large pistol primers to a guy for $4/100, and he got a big kick out of the fact that I tripled my investment.  The original price sticker was for $1.29.

I just bought 750 for $0.35 per round. I think that was a decent deal though.
