Stupid question, does the dremel tool have the proper RPM to cut carbon shafts? I think I read that it requires a higher RPM for carbon.

I free hand cut mine with a dremel and then square them up with a g5 tool

I use the harbor freight saw. I bought a 10 pack of cut off discs for it on Amazon and have used 1 in 3 years. I mostly use it for wood arrows now, but works great for carbons as well.

Good luck!

In the past I've thrown a metal cutting blade on a 10" Dewalt chop saw to cut carbon shafts.

I've got an arrow cut off saw I'll probably never use again.  Are you still looking?

Dremel with the thin fiber discs is what I use to use on carbons. Just cut fairly slowly and spin them if you can. Finish with sand paper.
Cuterebra are NOT cute!
