Or any ads for that matter...

We'll keep this very simple.
People are selling ammo and reloading components more than we've ever seen here. Some people are selling for retail price and some people are not.

If you're not genuinely interested in buying or trading for the listed item, don't comment. The ads are not for input or comments. We are not going to be the price police and we're pretty tired of cleaning up threads that people trash posting useless comments in. That's always been against the rules...nothing has changed. It's just happening more lately because of the crazy market for ammo and components. So long story short...if you don't like the TV show, change the station...if you don't like the price, keep scrolling and don't comment.

14 - NEGATIVE COMMENTS: are not allowed in classified ads. PM the seller or report problems to admin.

Note to include that high prices are not problems that you'd report to an admin or moderator.

One other note, harassing a member via PM that in your opinion a price is too high is not allowed either.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Posting this directly from the owner of the forum so everyone can see it.

My views on the Classifieds:

Trying to monitor ads to ensure they are "fair" is a fool's errand, I'm actually surprised that some people think we should be fixing pricing. Exactly how should moderators determine what is a fair price for every ad?

Requiring a minimum post count has been mentioned but then we may get 100 "I'm just here so I can sell in the classifieds" type of posts to meet the minimum. That really won't change anything?

Isn't "price fixing" contrary to free market capitalism which so many members espouse?

How many members want the mods to be price police, don't you want to be able to choose what price to sell your own items at when you post an ad to sell something?

I don't think the moderators need to be messing with pricing or babysitting the sellers in the classifieds.

Members with nothing but ads selling in classifieds need to become business sponsors. This forum is supported by it's advertisers, if a person is here to sell items I welcome that, but if that is their primary purpose on the forum, to sell items, then they need to support the forum like all the other advertisers who pay to advertise.

What is a fair price? A fair price is what someone is willing to pay, when someone posts an ad with an unfair price most likely nobody will buy the item. When demand is high prices increase, when demand is low prices decrease, that is how a free market system works!

Midway has raised their prices on many items, yet I just ordered a box of bullets yesterday that I want to try, yes I paid too much, but they were the only place I could find them, I'm glad they had them to sell, it’s just the times we live in!

It's a slippery slope to start telling people what they can charge and something I won't be a part of! It's real easy to not buy if the price isn't what you like, isn't that how it's supposed work in a capitalist society? How many members actually want us moderators telling you how much you can charge when you post your next classified ad?

Regarding business sponsors, business advertising this is part of life, we need businesses that sell the items we need in life, this forum also needs advertisers to help pay the bills to stay online, I welcome businesses to become business sponsors and to advertise on this forum.

It's a members responsibility as an adult to decide if items advertised are the price you are willing to pay, after all, don't you already have to make these same types of choices multiple times a day?

Who needs to be a business sponsor? If a member is participating on this forum primarily to sell items, and is selling a lot of items, it's pretty obvious they are here to make money, they are not here for any other reason, they should probably be a business sponsor, but we will look at each situation to determine that. I know numerous guys who do a lot of horse trading as a side business, they make extra money on the side flipping miscellaneous items. To me that is a business, I see nothing wrong with it, many of us may want to buy what they offer for sale, but in my opinion they should become a forum sponsor to be on the forum conducting their side business of selling items.
