I've had a Dewalt 12" planer for about 15 years and it works like a champ every time I need it and the blades are really easy to change out and set. As for a table saw it depends on what your plans are. Any of the contractor grade saws will cut lumber and plywood but for cabinet and furniture work i prefer the old Rockwell unisaw with a table extension and a good quality aftermarket fence.

I have a Powermatic Artisan 10" table saw with vega fence. Has some surface rust on the table but would sell for $350
