I built one in 450 bushmaster. I chose that over the 458 socom because the 450 bushmaster shoots .452 bullets (same as 45acp and often available in bulk for much cheaper than .458). Mine is 16" and I shoot subs with a can.FYI a 230 gr .452 speer gold dot HP, shot subsonic, will pass clear through a coyote broadside at 60 yds and leaves some internal stuff hanging about 3" out the exit hole.
I've been considering a 10mm AR Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
458 SOCOM pistol. A nice light weight thumper. The KAK Blade brace is not fun in this package. It hurts...like a blade is cutting. A different brace or a rifle stock would be much better. Don’t waste your money on sub optimal parts. Get a Tromix barrel and bolt. Or Wilson or anyone other than the lowest cost options. Regular Pmags work and regular Colt 20rd mags work in my experience. The Tromix linear compensator works well. A friend took a bull elk at 75yds with his 458 SOCOM rifle. If you want to shoot suppressed, make sure your suppressor choice matches your barrel length choice. The suppressors I’ve looked it for this caliber are rated for 16” minimum barrel length in this caliber. Not good for my 10”.
