@dilley how do you open your vac sealed bag if your knife is in it?  :chuckle:

Medium Kifaru Pullout:
- 2 pair of surgical gloves
- 20’ paracord
- Gerber vital with a few extra blades
- shot of fireball
- T.A.G bomb bags
Wonder I you're part of tbe group I hunt with, they all carry fireball lol. Your kit is identical.

I don’t think so, but I am a coug :)

I also have another knife in my possibles kit with a sharpener; it is better for skinning.
I don’t like the surgical blades for skinning.
Also have a lighter with luko tape around it which I can use for sticking tag to animal.

use one of those as a zipper pull for an interior pocket on your pack....use it for finding stuff in your pack early in the morning or late at night...hang it over your kill site for finding your way back in the dark for your second load.
i understand the use of marking a waypoint...but pitch black this is easier to find rather than staring at your gps or phone.

Alot of good stuff talked about in here..
You all need to add a Tag wallet from The Crazyelk Company in your kit. You wont regret it
If its brown knock it down

I have landed on the following:
-Outdoor edge Swing Blade (orange handle so I don't lose it!)
-Havalon knife with 3 spare blades
-ground tarp to keep meat clean
-bone saw for pelvis and sternum work
-UL meat bag
-50 feet paracord

All this fits into a 9.5x5x3 pouch and weighs in at 23 Oz.

To the OP, I'm curious what the purpose of the chili powder is? I'm always interested in learning more.

Same as ground pepper, to keep the hornets off the meat?

Yes sir. Helps keep flies and yellow jackets off exposed meat, and, filled game bags.
