Unless I had a medical condition where a certain micronutrient needed to either be deleted or added, I wouldn’t track them. I was advised by multiple doctors to just do a test of my “normal” foods since the vast majority of us tend to eat the same handful of foods. My tests showed I was lacking in a few areas and that is when I added different colored bell peppers and fish oil tabs. Since then, my tests have shown that I am doing well in my micros.

Do some research on fish oil. It's supposed to be extremely toxic to your body.

So we aren’t supposed to eat fish?

Fish oil supplements is what I was talking about.

Anytime I want my head to spin I try to figure out if I should eat salt and fish oil.

On another topic, one thing I have noticed is I tend to crave foods seasonally.  During the winter I literally can't get enough stews (super rich and heavy) and during the summer I favor lighter foods, fresh fish (mostly raw), salads, blueberries and cherries from the front yard (yeah, a pile of cherries isn't so keto friendly).  We have frozen blueberries but during the winter they just don't sound good for some reason.  My red meat intake really drops during the summer.

I wonder if that is a way to get more of the trace elements where you pile them in when they are in abundance and we know many are stored long term in your bones and other ways I'm not smart enough to understand?

We do know stuff like healthy (wild) animal liver, joints and ligaments, bones (baitfish), marrow, bone stock, grass fed butter, seafood, kelp and stuff like that are really packed with nutrient and trace minerals and it's almost a certain thing that incorporating more in quantity and variety is a good thing.

words of wisdom, gained the hard way.

Do not do intermittent fasting with a keto diet, then go out for high carb Mexican food.

I started 3+ weeks ago, lost like 13# the 1st week and basically stalled out since.... only loosing about 1# a week, don't know whats going on.
Not getting more than 30 carbs a day most of the time 20-25, measuring everything and using Keto charts.   Kind of frustrating, but definitely feeling better with more energy, so that make it worth it.
Otherwise kind of bummed.... I have some old sitka pants I would really like to get buttoned up...   :)

Try doing a 36 hour fast, then maybe a week later do a 72 hour fast. Also I'm not sure what your eating schedule is, but if you're doing three meals a day go to two meals a day, no snacks between meals. If you're already doing two meals a day, go to one meal a day. The extended fasts should work great for you, and will get your weight loss going again. Also think about going to zero carbs, which means a carnivore diet. That's what I'm currently doing, and I'm doing one meal a day, normally eat around noon or shortly thereafter. Try to do at least one 36 hour fast a couple times a month. And 72s as much as you can. I'm no expert but that's what has worked for me. I just did a 72 hour fast this last week and lost 3 pounds in 3 days.

The weight plateau you're experiencing is common for a lot of people. I've hit mine before. Diet variation/feast famine cycling could really help. I'll skip the medical jargon, but there are some studies that show diet variation is more important than the diet itself, especially the correlation between abrupt diet shifts (e.g. ADF) and continued weight loss. Bobcat gave an example of diet variation you could try. I've found a 5-1-1 or similar weekly eating pattern works well for me. Five days regular keto/intermitted fasting, one feast day (eat whatever) and one famine day (complete fast) in the same week. You'll have to figure out what works for you. Good luck on your journey.

Been on keto for a while, I'm stuck at 188-189, started at 204 for I'm pretty happy.  If I stay this weight I'd be ok with it, I feel pretty good, but really want to see 180.  No way I could fast, after my workout in the morning before work I'm ready to eat my arm off.  the Wife has lost around 25 pounds, we have a cheat meal every once in a while.  Hunting season is always tough and I don't plan to do keto while hunting.  It's a good diet, but I miss certain foods, just stick with it, and cheat once a week or so, so you don't feel like a prisoner.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Boy I sure don't ever feel like I need to cheat, because all the foods I can eat are so good. Bacon and eggs, t bone steaks, pork chops, chicken wings, salmon. I don't miss the bread, the pasta, the rice, or the potatoes. And what makes it so easy is that I feel so good. I don't get hungry anymore. Even two or three days of fasting, and still I'm not hungry, because when you become fat adapted your body just switches over to using your body fat for fuel, and there's no hunger.
