Sealions
« on: April 21, 2021, 07:02:14 PM »
I’ve been taking a bike ride along the Mukilteo waterfront most mornings during this good weather and I’ve noticed an unusually large number of sealions for this time of year.  This morning I watched one kill and eat a very large salmon and seen others that appeared to be feeding on larger fish as well.

Looks like the Snohomish system’s spring Chinook run is taking a beating.

Apparently they didn’t read about the closures.

Unfortunately they seem to be pretty intelligent animals, it doesn’t take long for them to learn where and when the dinner bell rings.
