If you want a guided hunt in Alaska then I would look up Jason Bunch of Kodiak Backcountry adventures. Jason is the man when it comes to getting after goats!!

I was looking at his website last night. They take some great goats. Looks like he only operates within the northern draw areas though.

Not sure what units he is limited to but I have known him for over 24 years and he knows those mountains on Kodiak as well as anyone. When we were stationed together he would cover 3 mountain peeks just for a workout.

Check out Nin Ridge Guides. I hunted BB with them and have a buddy that guides spring bear hunts for them. Not sure what Karl's schedule is but he's a very Humble guy with decades of experience. I just got a picture of a 10ft 1in bear with a 28 5/8" skull that will make the book after the drying period.

I assume he was just giving a positive review for the outfit in general :twocents:

those permit areas are all single digit draw odds for NR unfortunately.  Id definitely call him to see if he does any hunting in rg480 though. I'd not be waiting on poor draw odds when there's otc options available.  Guy has guided some gagger Billy's  :o

I would check with Jason about odds as he had 9 of his guys draw the tags this year. I think chances might be better than one might think.

:yeah: worth a call. They may have outfitter tags of some sort  :dunno:  best draw odds i can see are the Uganik River permit which averages 13% over the last 4 years. Rest are all 3-9% on average. Which ironically is better odds than about anything in North America  :chuckle:
