No more Inreach's for me. Message delays. Getting message way out of order, sometimes the next day even in wide open spaces. I'll stick with the Zoleo. No issues so far, a lot cheaper, and now $150 with a free year subscription to Gaia mapping.........if the promotion is still on. May have expired at the end of May.

Interesting. Will have to check it out. Thanks!

Zoleo looks like the way to go now.  I like that they give you a dedicated number.

I get emails from Inreach all the time of their errors and messages not going thru

Interesting to hear your experiences. In all honestly, I've never been a Garmin fan, but the InReach is a nice looking device, not that appearance is worth anything to me on something like this. Hard to beat the price of the Zoleo, so good to hear feedback from those that've used it.

Get the ZOLEO and don’t give it another thought. I have had one for over a year and zero complaints.

How long have you had the Zoleo?  A month? A year?  How many days in field?  How many messages?

I looked at the reviews on Amazon, most are good, there’s always those that can’t figure out how to boil water let alone operate technical things.

Some were complaining about the price of the texts, duh your paying for convenience and a lifesaving moment with satellites, it’s not going to be cheap, .50 cents a text isn’t bad in my opinion.

I would only use on a scheduled time if everything was fine, like every other day to keep the cost down, your not out on the woods for the texting experience.🤣

Sorry for the delay, I just noticed this. I've had the Zoleo for a few weeks now and have it in the back country a fair bit and have even had it in some some of the areas I hunt out of state. I haven't sent many messages, but what I have,  have been delivered quickly and the responses have been the same. In the same areas last year, several of us were having troubles sending and receiving inreach messages from all models of the inreach over several hunts in multiple states. Had to be a Garmin/Satellite issue we figured. In the mean time, I bumped into a couple guys using the Zoleo and they were having no issues. They gave me a rundown on it and I was impressed. No regrets switching here.

Don't know if other Inreach users have noticed the same thing but I originally got it because I liked the 125.00/year optional medivac insurance using the SOS feature. Garmin is not allowing users to renew their insurance through Medivac past Dec 2021. I'm not sure if there is gonna be another option or what but have received a few emails with notices regarding the changes. If there's no medivac/search and rescue insurance options I'm probably gonna look closely at these other options available.
