Got my lope tag at 6pts and a couple doe deer.

I decided against putting in for a better unit out of fear of point creep. Was probably a good call because it would have been about 50/50. It always kills me to use more points than I needed, but I’m glad I get to go hunting.

Major strike out for me, my son, and my buddy!!!  First time not going to Wyoming in a few years!  Missed my bull elk tag by half a point and now no deer or antelope either!  Last hope is North Dakota mule deer!  Struck out on everything this year except my landowner Montana deer tag.

The deer tag we want is 12+for guaranteed this year, last year was guaranteed at 10.  Antelope jumped a point and a half for us too!  The creep is real!😂

At the last second I chickened out on the goat tag I wanted and went for a "sure thing" ... Drew 88-1 but didn't get our doe tags.  Pretty excited, never hunted antelope before.

The thing I have noticed is that people jump around a bunch from year to year.  When I looked at the historicals, guys jump in and out of units so some years you just have bad luck when people swoop in with points that didn't apply in the unit the previous year.

That's on top of normal creep unfortunately.

I drew my deer tag, I had a point over what was required to draw last year. I wasn’t holding my breath this year with the struggle to get Colorado tags I knew people would be after Wyoming.

Any pointers for Region F. Land is limited since I can’t hunt in the wilderness without a guide or resident. I’ll be headed up the last week in October and hiking all over it looks like. Mostly local deer unless they begin to migrate so fingers crossed for some weather.
The pursuit of happiness is best spent In the outdoors doing manly stuff like killing things or fishing.
