GMU 621 “Olympic” Muzzleloader Elk
« on: June 12, 2021, 02:10:06 PM »
Good afternoon all,
This is my first special drew ever and am hoping to find some locals or guys familiar with this unit. I have read every thread and post on this topic, there are no resent posts regarding success or decent areas to look. I am just hoping for some tips on a general vicinity to start scouting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be sure to update and keep people informed as the season gets closer and if I am successful or not. Thank you all in advance

If it’s in your boundaries
Try Mt Jupiter and up along the Hamma Hamma and Duckabush
Lots of elk on the dosewallups as well
Good luck

That sign is up by Sequim. Not Brinnon.
Up Dosewallops you might try knocking on doors for possible access. I have a place up Rocky Brook and have them in my yard occasionally.

Heck,  they  walk around town and in the parks all the time.

Can't tell you how many times I've seen 50 or 60 on the school playground.

Fire department and post office parking lot in brinnon are the 2 best places to see the elk.

Used to live a little south of Brinnon. Lots of private land. Make sure you know who’s land you’re on. That part of Mason/Jefferson County is tweakerville. Those elk are smart, and like to hangout in the state park a lot.

I've never understood why 621 doesn't have a regular elk season when I have to stop for elk almost every time I drive through that area.

I've seen a monster bull on the east side of Wynochee Reservoir.
