Free Fishing Weekend
« on: June 13, 2021, 05:46:27 PM »
Anyone else take advantage of this "Free Fishing Weekend" and get out with the Family, before the rains hit on Sunday?

There were about a dozen other boats out on Shadow Lake in Maple Valley Saturday, where most Folks were trolling for the Triploids (planted.there recently.)
A couple others were doing well, hitting the Perch and Bluegills that are now busy Spawning and very protective of anything getting close to their Nest. Fun times!

Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.

Yes Blacklab, and they tasted a lot better than the usual "Popcorn" while watching the movie!

2 lb fresh bluegill fillets
1/8 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp homemade lemon pepper
2 or 3 shakes homemade hot sauce
3-4 cups Aunt Jemima self-rising white corn meal
1/2 tsp homemade seasoned salt
1/2 cold water
canola oil, for frying
