That's brilliant! I've always just used pins and cardboard to dry after heavily salting the base. Once dry I pack the base with bondo. Definitely going to have to try this with the next one I get

This is how I do it... works incredibly well and lets the airflow get going real well.

Additional tip for transport/field cure/home storage. Apply hanger as shown above. Get a sufficiently sized box collapsed. Hang fan inside middle of box collapsed. Then you can transport standing on side on edge of gear in rig or in between cooler and tote...or just lay it down flat on top of your gear. Box also helps flatten everything for displaying or future decoy mounting.
