White muzzleloader systems G-series
« on: July 11, 2021, 10:18:57 PM »
Hi all-
My hunting buddy has been after me for a couple years to buy a muzzleloader and jump into the club. Well I am purchasing a firearm collection this week that has 2 White muzzleloaders in it.
One is the G-series 50 cal. Not sure which version yet, it does have a peep sight on it and a camo thumb hole stock.
Does anyone have any idea what this is worth and if in good condition if it’s still worth hunting with? Or would I do better buying a newer muzzleloader?
The 2nd one is a 12 gauge muzzleloader, I believe it’s a Tominator. This one may end up in the classifieds.
Thanks for you opinions and suggestions.

I'm no expert, but I believe White has a very good reputation for materials and workmanship.

IMHO, no need for anything better or more modern.

I own 2 white g series 50 cal. Still hunt with both of them. The white rifles love full bore lead conical bullets. I’m sure they shoot sabots great also, just never tried. The g series is a quality gun. They just aren’t the top of the line in the white lineup. If in good condition they still bring high prices. The Tominator is fairly rare and a very good turkey shotgun.

Literally just got off the phone with Doc. He says he still sells the White Bison in kit form as well as pre built! Still has a couple hundred available, along with spare breech plugs and all the other parts.

These are both premium black powder guns to have in your collection if you ask me. Whites muzzleloaders are top of the line. PM me with the price when you wanna sell them!

Thanks for the info. It seems I will be keeping the G-series Whitetail and selling the 12 gauge White Thunder. I have it listed for sale in the classifieds. PM with questions.
Thanks
