Apparently this bull was not camera shy. Got these from a member, thank you very much.

Went over to the cabin for muzzy deer this weekend.  Woods were pretty quite and no elk on my property.  I am really glad that I tagged out when I did.  I think hunting was about to get tough and I might have ended up using the rifle in December.

At the time I was disappointed the hunt was over so soon but now I am thinking I picked the right time to release the arrow and close the deal.  Had I not I think I would be kicking myself right now for not taking the shot.

Yes, I too was wondering if you "settled" too soon  :chuckle:

It's always great to get some confirmation you made the right call, and no way anyone wouldn't be over the moon with that elk and that hunt. Congrats again.

I knew I was going to get one. The season and rules I was allowed to play by were just so liberal there was no way I would eat this tag.

It was really important to me to get one with a bow and I am starting to feel like that may have been my one really good opportunity.  The frontal shot was not what I wanted and boy did I regret that right up until I found him dead.

Such a roller coaster of emotions but I am really glad that it all worked out even though it ended so soon.

That's a bull you should be very proud of. Congratulations.
