California blacktail and hog hunt?
« on: August 02, 2021, 09:43:41 PM »
My work occasionally takes me down to northern and central coast areas of California. Toying with the idea of doing a guided (not down there often/long enough to dedicate time to scouting public land) blacktail and hog rifle hunt next year, while I’m down there. Do any of you have a reputable outfit you’ve used, and would recommend?

I’ve hunted a couple times with Lockwood Hunting Services out of Ukiah. Tim’s a good guy & has always been straight with me. He’s at the puyallup sportsmans show every year.

What did Maggie think of the outfit?

I hunted hogs with Tim at Lockwood. He's a good guy and does a nice job.

I like him a lot.  He knows what he’s doing, is a class act & honest.

Sending an arrow with an air rifle looks pretty fun. I'm still using firearms for hunting, but I'm really concidering a big bore air rifle for myself to hunt big game with.
