Best Fall GMUs?
« on: August 27, 2021, 01:01:00 PM »
Hi everyone,

First year hunting turkey. Hunted teanaway in the spring for a few days, only saw one hen on public land. But I'm not one to quit so giving it another shot this fall. Was curious what GMUs would provide best chance at success? Since this is my first year I have basically no knowledge on where to go. Any help is appreciated!

I like 117 and 121. A lot of nice folks live in those GMUs and some good public land too if you like options. If you are good at making friends you'll do well for yourself. Bear in mind that trespassing is different than knocking on the front door for most people in that area. If you see turkey in a field ask the owner if you can hunt. If you are respectful and composed you'll get some opportunities. Good luck, and remember to have two tags in your pocket. You might get lucky.
