Sons Sheep Ram Tag
« on: August 28, 2021, 02:48:07 PM »
I figure I should start a thread on this hunt that is quickly approaching. My son (12) drew a Ram tag this year and he is excited to say the least, although I’m certain he really doesn’t realize how lucky he is, even though I tell him all the time. I have been on one sheep hunt before in 2006 as my dad drew a Lincoln Cliffs tag that year and it was a blast. I have been looking over many sheep so far this summer so it will be a real challenge to decide at this point which sheep we want to take. I have the green light to pull him from school for a few days so we will be in the field the first 4 days of season.

I will try and post more later of some others as we get closer to the opener.

This is awesome! Almost bittersweet, not old enough to know how lucky he is to get the experience, but also that he does get the experience! I’m sure you’ll make the most of it for him and it’s going to be something he will always remember. Good luck and have fun!

It’ll be an awesome hunt for sure. My 14 year old drew a goat tag a couple years ago and it was a blast. Good luck to your boy.

That’s awesome!! My son drew in 2017 and it was the best hunt I’ve done even though it lasted only 2 days!! Which tag did your son draw?
Shut up and Hunt!
