Some people are never happy!
« on: September 16, 2021, 02:58:05 PM »
Especially tree huggers!!   Must hurt running around like a bunch of Chicken Little's!!   They shut down the logging industry, claim fires are natures way of making healthy forest, act like socialist(stay out of OUR forest) YET live in wood homes and use TP religiously!!  And sometimes start forest fires with TP!  Some book told tree huggers that is what you are suppose to do out in THEIR forest!

The only good tree, is a stump!

Remember when that used to be such a neat valley timberfaller, Winthrop was an actual town and not a tourist destination, the old house coming into town(can't remember the guys name) with the big sign out front that greeted everyone coming across the bridge that read "God, Guts and Guns are what made this country great" (now its some sort of quilt factory or something :dunno:) and when leaving town at the other end was the old John Wayne building. Loggers, ranchers and real cowboys doing their thing on the daily. Now its been taken over by hippies, tree huggers, anti hunters, anti loggers and "skinny skiers" as jingles likes to call em. Yep, a real shame, but hey you can get lattes, ice cream cones and real expensive stuff there now. I sure do miss the old Winthrop/Methow.

Be a crying shame if they logged some of those trees before they burned up. :'( :o

unfortunately the methow valley is way too close the the west side so they just melt over the hill and take over an area.  It’s happening to Ellensburg too.  And obviously Suncadia area already.

Now your talking. I complained about that last year. Like to see that review. How can they ok putting a trail straight down the slope to Coal Creek and not think that going to wash down in the creek.
There’s a old guy that lives down the creek that gets his water from Coal creek. We set in camp and watched groups of 15-20 riding the ridge and plunging down to the creek. I don’t know how they get away with that crap.

I've hugged a lot of tree's, with steel falling dogs and sang Trump's show song as they fell!!  Money Money Money Monnnnny!! :chuckle:

My mom, bless her heart, back in the mid 90's found a bumper sticker and gave it to me.  Said, "Hug a Logger, You'll never go back to tree's!"    She knew what she was talking about!
The only good tree, is a stump!
