Yep that was me lol, we didn’t get to fish how I liked, just fished off the bank, no luck. I was more scouting some areas up the Aeneas valley, never enough time to do all the things I wanta do. Hopefully the gates open by hunting season!

Why did you post those pics!  Now I wanna go to the cabin and fish this weekend instead of heading to elk camp!  :bash:

Congrats, those are nice trout! Were you guys trolling or just casting?  This is the first year I really started fishing that lake with a boat and was running a trolling set up I do well in Idaho, but the Tigers didn't care for it.  Maybe I need to head back next weekend and try again before winter.

We tried trolling. Didnt work. Traditional trout gear, rapalas, got us nothing. I was casting a rainbow trout colored spinner, daughter did better than me using a nightcrawler under a slip bobber. The ends of the lake were productive. There is a narrow slot in the reeds down by the reed island off the boy scout camp. This leads you to a pond of sorts. We did quite well on 17” tigers and 16” rainbows. You have to row through the slot.
