Calling all Bear
« on: October 13, 2021, 02:00:14 PM »
Ok, calling all bear experts extraordinaire. Got my mount back recently from last year, and am very happy with it. However, it looks smaller and younger to me than the picture I have in my head. I know that accurately sizing up bears has been the subject of much debate; but are they as hard to judge on the wall as they are on the hoof (or should I say paw)? It also varies a lot to me when viewing from different angles. I have the age and skull measurement, and also am fairly confident of what the live weight range was, but this is something I can't stop thinking about. Anyone else have similar feelings about this? Curious to hear your thoughts on the size and age of this one. I did post some info a while back in another post, so no peeking.
