It’s hitting hard right now in north Idaho!
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Saw 2 bucks in the Palouse 5x5 and 3x3 actively searching

Good- some are alive!  I saw a 3x3 buck with four does on the Washington side of the line- the future of the herd, I think- must be a happy 3x3 if he hasn't been run off!

I didn’t go this morning.  Probably should have, as I was awake.    :dunno:

I'm seeing bucks walking around with their nose to the ground during daylight around my house. they're still cruising around.

Retrieved my trail cams yesterday and it appears the rut really turned on in our neck of the woods just a few days ago.  Prior to the 25th we saw very little activity.  The 26 and 27 had the bucks really showing up and chasing.  It's been a weird year with warmer than usual weather for the time.

In the part of 121 I'm in the 25/26th were crazy with rut activity. I had a magic doe at 2 of my spots and she was towing a bunch of bucks around. Of course I didn't hunt either of those days. Yesterday was SLOW at all my locations.

Heavy in 105 leading up to and thru Thanksgiving.  Not sure what the rain and warmer weather will do.
