F/S: two tiny Sears o/b motors
« on: January 26, 2022, 10:43:56 AM »
I picked these up at garage sales over the years, thinking I would do some long distance canoeing. Well that didnít happen, and never will for me, so theyíre up for sale.
One is a 3 hp Sears Gamefisher (Tanaka). I had it running when I first got it. Seems it needed a fuel line? Probably carb cleaning and a new plug too.
The other is also a Sears, 1.2 hp. I had it running when I got it but it definitely needed a tune up. The mounting bracket is broken. Cast aluminum stuff. Not sure if JB weld would hold or not.
Selling as a pair for $50. Take the cart too!

For those that do not know, they are air cooled 2 strokes. No water cooling. Pretty loud, but good power for the size.
I have had a bunch of those over the years from 7.5 to 1.2. Some had a clutch, most direct drive.
My first thought was to buy them, but I really do not need any more projects!

tag. I won't be able to get there within a week, but if they are available at that time I will take them.

Iíve got a 9.9 Game Fisher short shaft you can have as well, bottom drive needs rebuilt.

Parts are probably not that common anymore, buts itís free.👍

Appreciate the offer, these on going on Beavertail final attacks so I'm trying to stay in the lower HP range. We are currently using a Tanaka 1.75 and a Honda 2.3, I'm guessing the 9.9 might be a little over powered.

:yeah:  Youíll want the canoe to stay above water.

Some of the Gamefisher OB's were Chrysler's and later Force, part's may still be available, for the 9.9 and up. The smaller one's well thats anyone guess.

I paid more than what you are asking for my last trolling motor stand. Nice deal for someone!
