2005 Mazda MPV no start?
« on: April 10, 2022, 01:40:50 PM »
Battery is fine but it will not turn over and almost nothing else works either. The power windows work and the headlights but nothing else, not even parking lights. It’s been a good running vehicle until now. It’s an extra car for us now and I’d like to sell it but don’t want to spend a lot obviously since the value is fairly low. I’d appreciate any ideas you guys may have. Thanks

Use a test light to check for "key on" power in the fuse panel at the different fuses.  May have an ignition switch problem, or a blown fusible link.  Lots of possibilities.

Fuse problem
How long since you had no problem?
Could be rodent damage….
Starter solenoid?
One shot. One kill!

I’d start at the ignition and work my way back with a multimeter. I’m assuming you already checked all fuses

It started somewhat quickly, only a a few days from starting fine. No start, no dash lights, interior lights, parking lights, no horn, radio, heater fan, turn signals, power seat. However, windows, power mirrors and headlights work fine. I was hoping it was something obvious... Maybe ignition switch? Thanks for the replies
