First year putting in for Montana, unsuccessful. Has anyone else seen refunds come in yet?

Our refunds are coming, but right now they’re drawing interest

This is not a joke, the reason they make you front the money and then they hold onto it so long is because they do actually invest it and make a big chunk of change off the lump sum. They’ll refund it to you at the last possible time they feel they can.  Wyoming is even better at it than Montana.

That's not the issue.  Even on a high yield, guaranteed interest account right now, they'd probably be lucky to net maybe $5K for an extra month, if that.  Not worth it.  I'd say most likely a paperwork/staffing issue if any issue at all.

It’s been 8 days, has anyone seen a check yet?
