Cartwright buck is a great story.  215" typical (I believe) whitetail from Stevens Co in 1992.  Lots of controversy about it - who actually killed it, how it was killed, and how the main beam got broken.

Me too, man. Hard to even imagine one that size. Looks like a whole different species than most I've ever taken.

I missed on that size when archery hunting 15 years ago…..no lie it was a monster.   That still haunts me to this day.   I have dreams often of the scenario and wake up crying.

Both would be appropriate.   I’ll have to right up the scenario…it’s a good story.   Sept 3rd, I’ll never forget the date.

There was a topic on HW about that buck.
Definitely a nice one.

that bucks official score is 199 or 198 I believe. Ive talked to guys who hunted that buck and a landowner who lived near that property. I dont believe that buck was ever taken legally

Ya I've researched it a bit.,talk to people about it.
I have a pretty good idea of the area he came from.
