Just called the licensing division and the answer I got was, "they're doing something but they haven't told us what that is."

Who is they?  Aren't they they?  I'm trying to leave for elk camp Thursday.  I need to know if I need to be at a vendor at 8 am or what the hell is going on.

No doubt “they” will put them up for over the counter sale on Saturday. AKA opening day of elk season.

I just talked to Ashley at the WDFW office.  She said they have ~930 MS deer tags left and that they’re going to keep doing the drawing with the 10 day purchase window until they’re gone.  At this rate they’ll finally all be sold in December.

I dont get how they're allowed to just change the process willy nilly right at the last minute.

They dont care what you think or say or how you feel so long as youre willing to get in line and buy their shtuff.  They wont listen until they see loss of revenue from sales.

They're going to take a loss on this one.  I can't imagine too many people wanting them after archery elk starts.

That’s me. I’ll purchase if available prior to the 10th. After the 10th my unspent hunting fund is going towards an Oregon waterfowl license. WDFW loss, not mine.

I finally had to call again, all the people in the office Have been told is they are going to do another drawing sometime next week.  This has to be the most inept game department around.

Because they don't give a crap about the sportsman.  This level of incompetence is intentional.

Why next week?
