I did notch my first tag the other day.
Kinda a small guy .
But I wasn't really bear hunting, just happened to see one, opportunity was there. So I took it.
I can always be more selective on my 2nd tag.
243 truck rifle I throw in sometimes,103 grain eldx.
Was very impressed with the eldx.
That is an awesome pic.  Pretty sure I’ve seen that truck a few times up in one of my favorite spots.  Congrats
I do know in one of my spots .....
There is a long range target, square chunk of steel tied between two trees. Painted white with a big red dot on it.
I'm gonna say probably,maybe,most likely.
That truck is in a lot of "spots" :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
Two birds in the Bush is always better than one in the hand-that way you can always go to the Bush and hunt another day .conservation=Better hunting.

It’s not my target.  More of a rock hunter my self.  Good luck out there this year.  If I can get a handle on my health issues this year I’ll be back out after bears soon

Hope your feeling better soon.
I also have a few health issues that have started to limit me.

Frank Church bear. 2500 vertical pack up and 2.5 miles out. Didn't help that she decided to jump off a cliff after being shot and roll an additional 800' down. According to the gal that took the tooth, she is over 25 years old. Sorry for poor pic quality, hard to get good pics solo on a 45 degree slope.

You weren't kidding, that's a steep one! Were you still falling off the cliff with the bear when you took the picture?

Oh my gosh 7mmfan - that's freakin awesome.  I'm sitting here trying to think up a sassy remark about the photo and scroll to your post - you win hands down over anything I came up with so far

Every pic I upload to this site always goes 90 degree! I definitely look better when you can't focus though.

Awesome. That’s one old bear. Oldest one I got was 11 and I don’t think he would have made it to 25 with the one canine tooth he had left

We saw this chocolate boar back in August, my brother stayed after it and solo'd it this past weekend. He had an up and down season in the high country and I couldnt be more stoked for him.

Got this guy last Saturday evening. Sat a berry patch in the high country for 6 hours and he ended up walking out. Beautiful coat but the ground shrinkage was real with this one! Going to enjoy the breakfast sausage.
