I’ll be up in 6 mostly. May bounce down to 10 and clear up to 1 too.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I had that tag back in 2001.  Not sure if it is still the same but it was an amazing hunt.  Good luck!

Just got back from our first trip to 11. I planned on being there 10 days, we left at 5 days. Cold and crunchy snow up top, saw decent muley numbers there. Only 3 whitetail (doe with fawns) but on Indian land. Saw moose tracks.

Down lower i hunted madden which had more muleys, no WT.

Hunted redbird quite a bit as the only number of WT were in the fields down below. No WT on any public, tons of great rutting MD action and nice bucks. Saw a cinnamon bear down at the bottom of redbird headed for the river.

We got permission on private fields, coyotes and MD.

One guy brought a bow and hunted the army corps of engineers that’s attached to the hell’s gate state park.

Overall we saw zero whitetail a on public land. Hunted all day most days. It was disappointing and we won’t return with a WT tag again, or maybe not that late in the year.

For perspective I went across the river to fill my blue mtn east tag and harvested a 6x7 WT in about 30 mins

4x5 with some does in the red bird draw that’s a great buck, lots of other 3pt and 4pt all over. Best bet take a small boat launch in wa, buzz across the lake and hit the lowlands of that red bird public where most ppl don’t go. Be sure to turn on your rmef layer on OnX. Read sign on red bird as the early section is youth only, and onX doesn’t show that. Pic just posted of my 6x7 on the 2022 deer page.
