Trail cam yote
« on: September 17, 2022, 07:08:16 PM »
Gorgeous color for September on this yote. 8 pics of coyotes in the last 12 days on this camera.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I watched a demo at the NTA on primeness of coyotes by one of the fur dealers a few years ago. I forget which one.
The very northern tier of the country they prime by Oct. 15th. That can change by up to 10 days depending on weather with cloudy dark weather making them prime early and bright sunny weather making them prime late. Every 100 miles to the south set back the prime date one week.
With the price of coyotes they better be #1 .

Seen a yote yesterday. Out in a clear cut.
Stoped the truck ,I was just about to get out the truck to shoot it. Here comes another rig up the road.
So I pulled off ,waited for them to go by.
By that time old yote kinda moved just out of sight.
It didn't look a pretty as the one posted here though.

So I kinda got skunked on that yote.
I rather piss in the wind, then have piss down my back.
