Our cats, used to bring them home often. It indicated to me, that we had more weasels around. Than I was aware of.

I think that is a Short-Tailed weasel. In the brown phase the Short-Tailed has a very white belly. The Long-Tailed has a noticeable lemon color to the belly. Even seen some with a bit of reddishness in the belly but the never seen a Long-Tail with a pure white belly.
 It looks very white to me.
