I don't know much about fishing the ocean, but I do know the coho are pushing up the rivers so you probably don't need to go far. Don't people sometimes fish it inside the bar this time of year?

Last I heard 200 fow straight out. That was a few days ago.  Westport fishing has a Facebook page, and maybe also check bloodydecks for more recent reports.

When in doubt, stick with the fleet.  :twocents:

Don't go out far. Sunday was great just outside the closure. Look for rips and birds. Stay out of the dirty water

Was out on a charter on Sunday.  About 17 miles from the Westport Marina....20-30 minutes to limit the boat.  All big fish

The last two derby winners for Coho 09/18 & 09//25 went 14 lbs and 15.40 lbs.  Those are big silvers.
