I had never done clam digging before. First off dont wear your last season 5mm neoprene waders. Omg I should have worn a speedo. Almost instantly overheated. Best freaking workout ever. Had no idea I was so decomditioned. Im sore...

We watched the mariners on my laptop in the back of the tahoe by the beach fire tailgate style.  I thought we might miss the dig but the Mariners clinched just in time with an hour or so before low tide.  We got our limits in about 30 minutes or less and the clams were huge. Great day all around!

Went down with my buddy and two of his boys yesterday.   Spur of the moment thing, listened to the M's game on the way.  Got there late (right at low tide) didn't go to our usual spots, just hit the beach approach and started digging.  Ended up 2 clams shy of a 4 person limit.  It was not great where we were, but not bad for claiming an incoming tide with some digging after dark.

In Grayland the marine fog was THICK! Being dark out made it hard to see very far, even with a potent light.

Limited at Long Beach last night.
I found as many crabs as clams, but all female.
Never had the issue with crabs before.
Usually dig at Twin Harbors though.
