Yikes.  15-16 foot swing today.  We opted out with the wind coming.

My wife’s aunt lives right on the water next to the Tacoma narrows bridge, her house is flooded.  Her cousin lives on one of the islands and she has a foot of water in her house. Sucks

I’m a little nervous about our boat at the Narrows Marina. We are over at the cabin near Leavenworth so can’t check on things. Sounds like some of the boathouses have damage. If anyone sees a SeaRay Amberjack floating in the south sound let me know.

They said on the news tonight that even though they can forecast these tides in advance they can't forecast the coinciding weather far enough ahead. Apparently today had extremely low barometric pressure which made the tide flood even more than forecasted. Next king tide is supposed to be 1/23/23.

La Conner is sand bagging.

Round a bout Hwy 20 to Oak Harbor under water.

Edison is flooding and Birch Bay was also flooding.  I am sure this high wind is also making the tide swell and even worse.

  :yeah:
It’s been blowing straight in here, the creek is flooding and our parking lot was over 4 feet deep.  Some of our neighbors cars got flooded out.  Looking forward to moving the car up the street again tomorrow.  :bash:

My daughter sent me this one.

I hope she, and everybody else who drove through saltwater, took it straight home and soaked the heck out of the undercarriage to wash all that salt off.  Quickest way to kill a car.  I see it very often where I live, 10 year old cars with rusted out frames and bodies.
