I've trained 7-8 from Mason's Chesapeake in Mt. Vernon and they have been solid meat dogs with a few standouts. I always recommend that you make sure your breeder is doing the standard health tests for your breed that are recommended by www.ofa.org

There not located in southwest Washington but they breed very good Chesapeake's. They're called skywatcher Chesapeake.

Not to worried about how far away they are, I've had Chessie's for 30 plus years.

Linda Harger - Fireweed Chesapeakes.  Payette,  Idaho.  She just put an AFC and a FC on her top male.  My current male from her is outstanding

I've got a female from Craig.  Great dog and he breeds them on the small side.  She's 55lbs soaking wet but after having a 90lbs male it has its advantages.

My favorite girl was from a Nordom/CK litter.  Craig produces some wonderful dogs.  Agree that he would be another great source.

So I contacted Craig, and he was at least 2years out. But he gave me a name and contact info to a fellow he had just bred his Rip dog to his female. Thursday the female had a ultrasound and she was positive. I sent my deposit off today :IBCOOL:

Happy for you! Chessys are truly the best companion you could ever ask for. Got my first one when I was 15yo. Have never had a day go by since without one. We have two of the knotheads now...True love is when a Chesapeake picks you for their human.
