Roosevelt 23’
« on: February 28, 2023, 07:54:31 PM »
Made our inaugural new year trip to Roosevelt with a few friends and family. We usually get a trip in after Christmas but travel put the damper on that trip. I try to hit it once Jan-April on a long weekend.
The two boys smashed it over the long weekend. Big fish was over 22” smallest was 16”. Taken the boat several time but the kids have more fun trenching through the sand and it wears them out. The weekend ended us with 22 fish for the five of us. Sunday was real windy and cold and we scratched out a couple fish. We don’t go down to below the damn so these fish aren’t like footballs. Saved a few for the bbq but the rest hit the smoker after a brine. 34 vacuum sealer bags of emailed trout that run like salmon for the summer camping and pack trips!

Tight lines!
fear no fish!!

How fun👍
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
