I am the chairman of the North Central Washington chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation.

We have our banquet set for April 22, 2023 in Cashmere at the Chelan County Fairgrounds.  Chapter banquets are one of our main sources of revenue and enable us to work on projects to enhance and conserve habitat.    MDF’s Chapter Rewards Program ensures that a portion of the proceeds generated from local banquets will remain in the area to be used on local projects, based on the banquet's net to gross percentage.  The higher the percentage, the better the reward for the local chapter.

Catering will be supplied by Lind's Custom Meats & Catering and we will have a whole pig for dinner (picture of last year's pig below).

We are putting together some great games for this year for chances at winning a gun and my wife is also putting together a women's only table again for the ladies with a pistol, a concealed carry handbag and a bunch of other women's items.

There are more options for purchasing tables this year as well.

Sponsor Tickets come with a custom plaque and for every five sponsor memberships we will have a drawing for a choice from the Trophy board.

We had a great time last year and are looking forward to an even better evening this year so hope to see everyone there!  Tickets can be purchased at https://muledeer.org/event/cashmere-wa-north-central-washington-banquet/ or by scanning the QR code on the attached flier.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

On another note - We are in serious need of volunteers!  Both for banquet night setting up and running the games and we need help with gathering donations.  Last year we had 3 volunteers and the rest of the banquet was all run by my wife, daughters and my daughters' friends and it was tough!  Any and all help would be much appreciated, everything helps!  If you have kids in school that need community service hours this is a great place to get them!

Still have too many seats left.  We have some new and exciting games this year instead of just buying a hat for a chance to win a gun.  Gauranteed to be great food and fun!

Please come and support our Mule Deer!  We have some projects we are trying to line up but need the funds to make it happen!

It is posted on Facebook and I have been pounding it out there.

Honestly this might be the last year.  People in NCW used to care about mule deer but I gues that isn't the case anymore.  We haven't had any luck with finding any volunteers so my wife and I are trying to do everything and it is getting to be too much of a strain on us.  Coupled with lackluster ticket sales and it just isn't worth it.

We put on what everyone told us was one hell of a banquet last year and we have fewer ticket sales than last year.  I get the rising inflation and everything but RMEF can still pull in 200+ people and the Ellensburg chapter had over 300 last year compared to our 110....  I am very passionate about our deer herds but without any kind of support it is going to be the death of the wife and I.

How many people are signed up so far?

As of yesterday there were 36.....  I know we have at least a couple more people/businesses that will buy tables but at this rate we will be lucky to hit 100 attendees.

Is there anyway to just  donate money to the cause?
We do accept donations.  We can accept cash and check.  We have one donor that is using his credit card but we can't run it until the day of the banquet.  Thank you for asking!  Just send me a message and we can work something out

Last day to get in on the early bird drawing!   Every ticket bought by the end of the day today gets put into the drawing for $200 in raffle tickets!

Let’s get together for some great food, drinks, games and support our mule deer!  With a successful banquet this year we should have funds for a couple of local projects!

We are planning on putting in a guzzler in Cashmere in one of the worst crossing spots to provide a water source on the east side so the deer don’t have to cross the highway to get to the river.

I don’t want to beg but with slow ticket sales….  I am begging anyone locally to come and join us. The mule deer herds in central WA are hurting and need our help.

If anyone has ideas for projects in our local area please contact me as well.  Thank you

There are still way too many tickets available. At this point there will be plenty of food!

This might be your last chance to attend a banquet for MDF in Wenatchee.  I think I am done, I can't do this alone and can't even fill 100 seats...  Last year we had a couple of volunteers and the rest of the banquet was run by my family - My wife, three daughters and their friends helped to make it happen.

It is very frustrating that with the state of our mule deer herds in this area and everyone talking about how they are going downhill and yet nobody wants to do anything to help them.  I have tried to get some support so we can get some funds for projects here but without any participation its a dead issue.  The central WA chapter in Elensburg can fill 300 seats and have about 10 committee members with a population of 20-25k.  There are over 100k living in the greater Wenatchee valley and we can't even fill 100 seats or get more than one volunteer.

Huge thanks to those who have bought tickets.  Those that are coming will have a great time.  I put my heart and soul into this trying to revitalize it but I can't do it anymore.

Thanks! I was talking to your dad yesterday and he said you already bought tickets.  Glad you guys are going to make it again!  We have some beautiful guns this year!

Wish I could make it, I agree the lack of participation by hunters is frustrating. Seems like most will complain til they're blue in the face but few actually do anything about it. Hope you guys can manage to turn the banquet around up there and fill some seats
