To me this de incentives folks from installing permaculture  practices on their property. If the goal is to increase the recharge of the water table and biodiversity this flkys in the face of it.  The fact is that property owners drain their properties because they don't want the use of the rest of the property to be inhibited. This helps no one, and it does the exact opposite of what we need.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Huge win for people that like freedom and autonomy. I hope the people who like these endless rules end up having to deal with the government agencies and employees that enforce them. I have a brother-in-law who had the EPA come and threaten to fine him $30,000 for the way rain water ran off his parking area at his small landscaping business onto the street. It had been that way for many years before he bought the business.

I don’t know about where you live but at times I can fill my bathtub with “clean water” and it smells like a public swimming pool because they’re doing a chlorine dump to make the water “clean”. We’re barely down stream from the source.

If more people knew what comes out of their tap water they wouldn't drink it.  I recently found a website that shows what's in my water source (I am on city water) and it wasn't good.  Hard to believe anyone thinks it's safe to drink.

That's why I don't bother testing our water running off the mountain, we've been drinking it for 15 years.  If we move to the city, I'll drink more bourbon.

I like freedom and autonomy...just not when it comes to our water supply!  Rivers, fish, drinking water, irrigation for crops, hydropower...you do realize we all directly and indirectly share water, right?

Do you think I am advocating for pollution? I drink water too.
We have a legislature that is set up to make laws. The executive branch is not allowed to arbitrarily make laws. I am good with that.
Biden stepped outside of his authority and the court told him so. Good!
The left tries to “fix” the environment and the net result is almost always counterproductive to what they are trying to accomplish.
Wind power, solar power, electric cars, plastic bags at the grocery store, cash for clunkers, no nuclear power, ethanol in fuel. If you check into the cost of these in dollars, pollution, and use of natural resource, they all come out as net negatives as far as saving the earth and environment go. Prove me wrong. Do it with statistics please, don’t just say I am wrong because you want me to be wrong.

Yeah, I'll pass on that exercise, but you knock yourself out and let us know what you find.  Not sure what kind of "statistics" I could find to show that clean water is better than polluted water.   :dunno:
