Eat those walleyes!
« on: March 30, 2023, 03:47:37 PM »
This is your annual reminder this walleye season not to feel bad about keeping and eating all those tasty fish you catch out of the McNary pool.
Especially the big ones  :twocents:

I have eaten the big ones and find them coarse and lots of worms in the belly meat.....more protein right!!...12 to 20 inches is my favorite size for table fare. and I have eaten a ton of walleye. I prefer to eat the fish in the first picture rather than big walleye. Second pic is EATIN SIZE

Love walleye. My favorite is to bonk a few salmon for crab bait and have crab stuffed walleye. Mmmmmm

I dunno. Most of the ones I’ve been catching are only 12-16#…I don’t think that’s quite big enough to eat an adult salmon.

Eh, lost their $100,000 fishing boat. And one of the guys is facing a litany of other unrelated charges. Using his son to pass fake $100's off in bowling alleys for change...embarrassing!

Not sure if this would blow up any spots or not...but where's the closest walleye fishery to the wetside? Only fished Banks before for em.

I mean...technically you didn't catch them, a couple helpless children did :chuckle:

he shouldn't have fallen asleep then. Part of being a good parent is giving them tough love from time to time :chuckle:

big time! I booked a free guided trip with him for me and my 10 year old son on Tuesday. Really lousy operation he is running imo. First issue was the first 6 fish were too big and my son got all tuckered out fighting them. After landing an 11.6lber he fell asleep from exhaustion so couldn't fish anymore. Then this guy has me reel in a 15.5lb fish and not 20 minutes later makes me reel in a 16.2lber :bash:  Fish after fish way above eating size. Who wants to hassle with 7-16lb fish :dunno: Then to really ruin the trip he ate all my jerky :bdid:  All in all just a horrible experience. For what I paid him I really expected better :twocents:

OMG, he ate all your jerky  :yike:
A mutiny is in order!
Or a strategically placed banana would be sufficient!

Sounds like an amazing trip.

If my son fell asleep from fighting fish, I would consider that an accomplishment of a lifetime.

Seriously, sounds like a great trip with good people, hope you got pics to go with it!

Thanks for sharing  :chuckle:
