Looking for Berger .264 140gr vld hunting
« on: June 02, 2023, 05:22:09 AM »
I am in need of some bullets for my sons rifle and haven’t been able to locate any in a long time and starting to run low. He has a few hunts for this fall and I would like to get him shooting a good bit before his hunts. If anyone has some they would sell or know of a trustworthy website, please let me know.

They were around a few months ago so I'd imagine we won't see them run again for a while unfortunately.  I got a few notification emails about them but I was out of service and missed them too :bash:

I'll have to look but I, maybe, have some.  I know I have a lot of the hybrid target 140's but I can't recall if I have any of the VLD Hunting (part# 26504).  How many are you looking for and do you only want that specific Berger 6.5 140?

2 of my guns shoot the 143 eldx to the same point of impact and accuracy as the eldh. I think the bergers are more consistent physically so I prefer them but would not hesitate to use either on game

I haven’t seen them available since covid. His gun absolutely loves this bullet and I really don’t want to start chasing another load right now but I may not have a choice.

I checked and have a part box with 90 in it and they are the orange box "VLD Hunting" part# 26504.

I think Berger needs to come out with a few more 140gr 6.5 bullets because five different 140's isn't nearly confusing enough.

Have you ever tried the 140 Hybrid Target part# 26414 because those seem to shoot really well in just about everything.

Huge shoutout to b23 for hooking me up with almost a full box of bullets. Saves me from doing new load work ups that I don’t have time for right now. Hopefully by next spring they will do another run and I can stock up.
