Good luck. I’ve enjoyed all your past write ups and Can’t wait to read about it. I’m going on my first Alaska hunt next September for moose and hopefully it is the first of many like you

That place just does something to you, I am sure your first Alaska trip won’t be your last.  Feel free to reach out with a PM and I can answer any questions.  I always talk a lot to guys that have had similar experiences to help dial in fitness, gear, expectations, etc….and am happy to be a resource for anyone on the forum doing any of the trips I have done.

Got an inreach message yesterday evening. 7hr hike into their area and still had another 800ft vert to get up to where they were gonna camp for the night. My FOMO is redlined right now  :chuckle:

Shane,

Best of luck and have a great adventure.  When I turned 50, my 2 friends and I flew into Bettles, and then took a otter and flew into the Gates of the Arctic Park and took a 10 day raft trip for a 100 miles on the John’s River.  To this day, it was my toughest
Yet best adventure I have ever had.  Be careful out there.   Look forward to your return story.

As of last night they had 4 rams spotted. 3 sub legal and one possible shooter. Plan for today was to close some distance, determine legality and if he hits the mark, they'll camp on him until the opener. Everyone cross your fingers  :chuckle:
