Pogue Quality Deer
« on: June 14, 2023, 09:49:11 PM »
Drew a Pogue quality modern rifle tag. Looking for recommendations on quality guides. My hunting seasons always revolve around Elk, but a nice Muley buck has always been a bucket list hunt. Completely shocked that I drew this tag and it was my 2nd choice.

A friend's dad drew the same tag. Following.

Talked to this guy quite a few times during late archery he’d be the last guy I chose for a few specific reasons I won’t blast publicly. Check out tangle wood guide service those fellas are down to earth genuinely good folks and have proven time and time again to be super successful with mature bucks in the late season.

Oren at Tanglewood is a great dude. I would absolutely go with him if I was looking for a guide!

Sonny at Scotch Creek Outfitters out of Omak guides on the land Jared with Okanogan Outfitters leased previously. He has a website. I know the country Tanglewood guides on and it's amazing too. I think you couldn't go wrong with either. Best of luck! There are some nice bucks there.

I also drew Pogue Quality Buck. I've been hunting this unit for 20 years. I go up for the whole rifle season every year and do a traditional wall tent style hunting camp with friends and family. I have well over 1000 miles, maybe 2000, miles on foot in this unit. Of you have any questions feel free to ask. But guides in the area Okanagan Valley Outfitters and Tanglewood guides are the 2 I've seen around.

1k-2k miles on foot in Pogue, and you’re from Elma?

If you have hunted the unit for 20 years, spend the whole season, and do some scouting very doable. Especially for someone who get dirt on his boots and that amount of time.
