I think part of the shortage is due to the popularity of .410 in revolvers. Guys are picking up boxes of bird shot to play with at the range.  Those pistols seem to be pretty popular, too.

I haven’t seen any locally since probably early 2021, aside from $8 a round turkey loads. Odd seeing as there always seems to be a couple boxes of 16 and 28 on the shelves.

I have been looking for quite some time. I finally found some at Tacoma Bass Pro. I picked up 4 boxes. 2 #4’s and 2 #6’s.
They were the Federal blue box, $19.99 each.

Walmart in Colville had 4 boxes of #9 yesterday morning for about a half hour.  20.00 a box

Skagit Arms has cases of .410 shells.  It just depends on location and how much the ammo seller ordered.  Wal Mart had a full shelf of it a few weeks back and most of it is now gone.  .410 just isn't sitting around once it comes in.  People are buying it up as soon as they see it.

Supply and demand economics.
Sold my 380 because 9 mm was cheaper to shoot and many 9's are close to the size of my old 380.
Used to have a 410 Snake Charmer and got rid of it for the same reason.
Good luck finding reasonably priced ammo.

If there was ever a reason for a reloader the 410 is it.  Shoot a bunch?  Get a fancy one.  Shoot a little?  Get a X ring.

The way things are going cheap ammo will not exist.

I been watching all summer for 7 mm 08 at a reasonable price. Traveled ,Idaho,Montana, Washington. Hooked on Toys had two boxes for 67.00 each Not me. I use to buy a box for $20.00 or less.

Found two boxes in Colville for $29.00 each.

.410 not much better.

I was lamenting for paying 45 dollars for 100 Hornady ELD-X bullets for reloading...  67 bucks???  ouch!

You got that right. I reload .410 & 28 just to save money. I normally shoot a case of every year at clays.
