For you you guys that are buying boots online, are you trying them on somewhere first then finding a better price online? Where do you try them on if so? I hate buying shoes without feeling how they fit my feet, and have never done so with boots.

I'm a fan of Meindl. Generous toe box and decent price for high-end boots. The Vakuum Hunter is $330 a comparable Crispi or Kenetrek is $450 plus. Order online from Meindl directly

This is where I get my boots, also. Very pleased with them.

Meindle has a thing on their website that’s a show sizer/fitter thing for their boots. You print it & stand on it to see what size of their boot fits you. I did it last summer & the boots I ordered fit perfectly.

Ive had a few pair of Meindl. Very happy with them. They want you to love your boots and will do all they can to make you happy. Right now I am running another pair of Zamberlans. Also great boots. Wouldnt be surprised if I end up in another pair of Meindls some day. Or Zamberlans! :chuckle:

Cabelas hasn’t carried Meindle boots for years. They stopped when bass pro bought them. The head boot people at Cabelas called Meindle & said they’d like to do the sales of Meindle boots in the US, which Meindle agreed.

I have a 7 year old pair that I bought @ Cabelas in 2016 & they’re still going strong. Part of the sole was coming off last spring. During the summer I called Meindle to see what I should use to repair it, & they mailed me a big tube no charge. In august I bought a pair of un insulated hiking type boots thst are awesome. They have great boots & service.

I've had the Cabelas version of the Hunter for many years. They have been great. I will be replacing them with Meindl when I buy a new pair.

I used to buy Carolinas and would order the same size and model once a year. Couldn't find them anywhere after covid so I went to the local red wing shop. The new boots have lasted more than 2x as long and the inserts he installed for me countered the effects of me rolling my foot. My hips are happier and my boots lasted much longer.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I returned 5 pairs over 2 years to Cabela’s. Complete junk. Stitching falling out, none were actually waterproof, rubber peeling off boots
