is almost upon us.  Are you wild bohemians locked and cocked, and ready, to bring a Wapiti home for dinner this year?

I sure am.  My White River tag opens on Saturday.  Took the smoke pole out to bark a few times just to make sure she is dialed in.

First year switching it up after 6 years of archery.  Changed up to allow for more fall fishing mainly.  I'm interested to see how it goes.  I've never shot an elk so it can't get much worse I suppose  :chuckle:

I'll be out there! Convinced my wife to go this year and carry a muzzy. She never liked the idea of misfires or hang fires and the delay if something goes wrong etc. I convinced her it was a rare occasion if you do things right.

Good luck, you all! Looking forward to pictures and stories!

No muzzy for me this year. Between work and a move/job change, got my hands full.

Always a good time.

Tic toc indeed Jake. Stopped at range on Ft Lewis today after work and threw 3 projectiles down range.  My smokepole is grouping as well as can be. Pulling out on WED to set up a small camp, scout a bit, and tie a Roosey/RM Elk hybrid to a tree for the opener.  It’s almost time………..
