Ungulate herds will be even farther down than they are now. There'll be no hunting wolves, ever in WA. Bear and cougar tags will be reduced, if not eliminated completely.

Typical, blame everything else but the predators.🤬

Well, IMHO, :chuckle: we are not going to win out over our failed educational system that has brought this and other hair brained ideas upon us.  BUT, God is going to have the last laugh when He takes the "fear of man" away from these predators!

So when the numbers are up to par, man will have to seek shelter under rocks to try and escape them!!   I don't plan to be around when it happens!

I guess you can see where I am from based on my name and we are already there. Not a wolf one but you are hard pressed to see deer unless you frequent peoples yards. Cougars have already beat the wolves to the table at least around here.

We have wolves here, and the same situation here.

A wolf pack moved onto the Golden Doe this week, one of the areas WDFW shut down for the winter, limited prey and lots of wolves. Interesting times.

Pro-wolfers on H-W should be very happy....

Hundreds are killed by APHIS in the upper midwest, your tax dollars at work. And it is working so will.  Hope you catch the sarcasm.  Be careful out there

 :yeah:

That's not too far in the future with the "new" people in the Methow, I have never seen such a clueless class of people. I talk to a lady a few years ago about packing when she goes on her walks out through the brush on Balky Hill, she said she thought it would be Cool to be killed and eaten by a wolf. Up to that point she seemed like a fairly intelligent lady. I told her there was an Alaskan school teacher that would argue that point with her if she could, unfortunately wolves killed and ate part of her. She still thought it would be awesome.

I have had wolves show up that don't have any fear and I have seen briefly those that Did, they can disappear over the ridge in a pair of seconds.

How many close calls have the WA people already had with wolves, most don't get reported, and those that do seem to favor wolves.

WDFW employee told me a while back that they can tell the wetside anything they want and they will be believed. So they shut down WDFW land that is infested with wolves while claiming to do it to help the deer, since when have WDFW ever given a dam about the deer? Those that think this is a good thing are living in a dream world, if anything it will hurt the deer, less people will produce more dead deer. And for those of you who feel these closures are good because it keeps the spandex crowd out of your hunting area, think agin, this is just a trial run for extended closures for whatever other BS excuse they come up with. And what happens when the USFS decides to join in on the game with WDFW, pretty soon you don't have any public lands to recreate on.

I feel bad for those of you living over there and having your country way of life wrecked by the rich clueless city folks moving in causing the cost of land to be out of reach of the locals with their lower paying jobs. Losing freedoms to the people who think laws and rules make you safe. They say government is religion for many liberals, so they believe what they say. Kind of like the majority of Washingtonians believing our id*** governor, because he uses the word science before he spews propaganda.
