I don’t think it will be an out right ban on fall bear right away; even though that is what they’d like. I think this year you’ll see a 1 bear limit and a September start date.

That's going to cut the harvest down.
I'm guessing the conservation policy decision at the end of this month will impact some of the recommendations(primarily predator hunting). They should have something in draft to the public by at least mid February, to give the public a chance to comment by mid March and final adoption early April. My two cents, minimal changes for deer and elk, predators are a whole different ball game.
