I don't understand how they can say they're reverting to pre 2019 seasons if that wasn't the pre 2019 season.

They're not voted on yet by the whole commission so they're not a done deal yet, correct?

All I can say is this is what the state gets, and yet people will continue to vote Democrat. Don't think for a minute they are done messing up hunting in WA!

It’s coming your way next, these organizations are pushing their agenda in Washington and Colorado but Idaho is going to be targeted at some point as well. Lots of Californians moving into that place.

Correct as far as I could tell. I don't believe all commission members was even in attendance today for a vote. But it's definitely on the way.

Back in the hound hunting days we did have a September 1st start on the east side but we also had a training season for our dogs during August. I guess maybe they think there's not any problems anymore because as soon as they started having problems they opened up the east side for two bears in an August opening. Just communist trying to take more away from us.

Sub committee tabled their vote til next meeting. Their vote would be to push that proposal to a vote at the full commission.

Yes seems that way - here is the link to the session proposal and WDFW response to the commission. Must be frustrating having to compromise with a commission that demonstrates no interest in compromise.

Idaho is a solid red state with more people moving here that vote Republican than Democrat. It will be a long time before we elect a Democrat governor who appoints anti-hunters on the game commission.  :twocents:

I hope you’re right but if we look at the history of migration of Californians to other western states non of them survived and have all been flipped. Look at what we’re seeing happening in Colorado. Crazy times we live in.

You might want to check out the demographics of the greater Boise area because Idaho isn't the solid red state it use to be.  Lots of people have moved there and brought their politics with them,  even in the panhandle.  :twocents:

I didn't say Idaho will never change, that would be a pretty unknowing statement, I said it will be a long time!

Currently Idaho is consistently considered a top 5 reddest state in the nation and according to the Idaho Statesman, Idaho is getting redder as more republicans are moving to Idaho than Democrats. In the 2020 election only three counties voted for Biden: Blaine (Sun Valley), Latah (Moscow), and Teton County (close to Jackson WY). Boise area even voted for Trump.

Like WA, in Idaho the governor also appoints game commissioners who set seasons and control F&G policy. Check out the total votes for Republican (358,598) and Democrat (120,160) for governor in the last election and notice the Independent candidate Ammon Bundy (101,835), anyone familiar with Bundy would know that he probably didn't have many liberals voting for him, most of his voters were likely extreme conservative leaning voters: https://ballotpedia.org/Governor_of_Idaho

Getting back to this specific topic, I've said many times, the only way to get Washington game management back is to quit voting in Democrats, because a Republican governor is not going to appoint anti-hunters to the wildlife commission and a Republican legislature will not pass laws that eliminate hunting and 2nd amendment rights. With only a couple exceptions, voting democrat in WA is literally taking away 2nd Amendment rights and hunting opportunity! If Washington hunters and gun owners want to quit losing opportunity quit voting for democrats. It's really that simple!

Most democrats voting democrat aren’t hunters and don’t have a clue.  Hunters are voting republican for the most part but it isn’t going to out bid King county and their urban recreation focus.  Hunting isn’t a main stream voting issue.
