Super Vinci
« on: April 08, 2024, 09:24:09 AM »
Just learned the Super Vinci was discontinued in 2021!?  Wonder with the current problems of duck populations with horrible gas prices and overcrowding on public areas that might produce a duck or two on a good day for the average hunter caused benelli to make the decision to cut the cord?!  That gun is a beast and easier to clean than the easy to clean 870.  Hopefully El Niño will make awesome results for this year’s breeding survey and get ducks spread out again. Gas prices? Maybe when November rolls around this year?

i think they combined a couple different series montefeltro and SBE probably took the SV over...the ultralight  has been pushed into the monterfeltro line now and is also discontinued.

More likely it was the eclipse or the war in Sudan. Bird numbers are strong. Folks in Burns, Oregon agree.

Super Vinci nato approved it sounds and Iran is sending the drone attacks.

Burns Oregon had all the birds, that’s not good for me living in eastern Washington.

It was a short lived concept gun.  I shot one a few times and wouldn't own one despite loving Benelli shotguns.  The writing was on the wall and Benelli makes other better suited shotguns.  Ethos would be my preference over a Super Vinci.
We had a stellar duck season this year.  Never was skunked, limited just about every hunt and fairly quickly.  Also good numbers of birds flying on every hunt as well.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

At the time it was the ultimate gun for those of us who like to hit the marsh at 0-dark-30, chase upland mid morning, and then target geese in the afternoon.  I get why they would discontinue it/consolidate lines.  I liked my first one so much, I bought another as a back up.  Over 15k rounds and still haven't needed that darn backup.  :chuckle:

West side must of been a lot better.  One guy even said on here he skipped out on Moses lake trips later in the season from poor hunting and was much better for them on the wet side. Go figure but I liked the Vinci because the stock has not spring inside like the sbe does.  For some reason if components are inside the stock is a magnet for dirt and muck.
